Navigation Lights

The navigation light bulbs are incandescent and will dim over time as the filaments degrade. Inspect them not only for operation, but for light intensity.

Bow Light

The original part is a Perko 1310DP0CHR, which uses a 12V double-ended Festoon base bulb (Perko 0071DP0CLR). There are LED replacement bulbs and fixtures, some of which offer the same footprint and fastener spacing.

Stern Light

  • The lens is a Perko 0248DP0CLR 360 degree clear lens.
It should be periodically replaced as it is plastic and loses its clarity with age, reducing visibility.

  • The 12V bulb has a BA15D base. The original is incandescent, but LED replacements are available. A replacement can be up to 48.5mm long before interfering with the lens.
The original incandescent bulbs are certified to be visible at a given distance, but they frequently burn out. The LED lights I have used are, subjectively, brighter and last much longer.
